Our practice is equipped with the latest technology, allowing us to do the best possible job.
This technology, along with our clinical skills and expertise, means we can identify and correct vision problems and detect and treat any conditions as early as possible.
Our technology includes:
Autorefraction – to assess whether you have myopia, hyperopia and or astigmatism. We also manually check the optical status of each patient to ensure the best possible results and a prescription that each person is most comfortable with.
Biomicroscopy – to assess the external structures of the eyes and to examine the tear glands that lubricate the surfaces of the eye.
DNEye Scanner from Rodenstock – to conduct a bio-metric scan of the eye with the information being used to further customise spectacle lenses for the individual wearer and their lifestyle.
Ophthalmoscopy – to assess the internal structures of the eyes.
Ocular Coherence Tomography – a non-invasive imaging test that uses light waves to take cross-section pictures of your retina, the light-sensitive tissue lining the back of the eye.
Corneal Topography – a non-invasive medical imaging technique used to map the surface curvature of the cornea, the outer structure of the eye.
Photo Imaging – which allows us to take a picture of the internal structure of the eye for comprehensive examination.
Colourimetry – which is the use of colour to reduce visual stress involved in reading and learning to read.
Visual Field measures – used to assess for glaucoma as well as various neurological disorders.
